To the soon to be mamas who hold their growing bellies tight, to the brand new mamas rocking and feeding with some strong coffee in hand, to the mamas who balance a little one on their hip while they prepare a meal, to the mamas working hard all day all the while thinking of their babes, to the single mamas doing it all on their own, to the mamas who sit up at night anxiously awaiting the safe arrival of their teens, to the mamas who watch their grandchildren at the drop of a hat……. in my opinion being a mama is the most important job that a woman can ever do and it’s a job that lasts a lifetime. I feel completely privileged to be a mom and from the moment that I laid eyes on my first born and held her in my arms, my purpose in life was immediately defined. I wish all you mamas out there a day to be present in your accomplishments as a mother, a day free of that guilt that goes alongside being a mom and hopefully a little spoiling as well. To my own mom who often worked 2 or 3 jobs and juggled 4 kids and has accomplished and overcome so much, it is from you that I pull strengh when I need it. Thank you! And to Shawns mom I am grateful for  raising and instilling all the good in the amazing man I have to share my life with and of course all the babysitting and baked goods! And for the second look, to dress it up a little I swapped out the sweater for this little Wilfred jacket from Aritzia and threw on some Snob lipstick by Mac.

It’s a rainy, grey Friday night here, I am going to be listening to some chilled beats of Amos Lee, cozy up to the fire with a glass of vino and a stack of fashion and gossip mags, perhaps give myself a mani……. What are you up to this Friday night?
